Sandy Rhoden and her husband, Governor Larry Rhoden, have been married for 44 years and live in Union Center, SD. They are blessed with four sons.

Sandy taught elementary education in rural Meade County schools, with her final years of teaching in Faith. She has been active in her church as a mid-week youth director, VBS teacher and has coordinated many programs. Sandy was second Lady for six years while her husband served as Lt. Governor.
